So here is more of Christine Sun Kim’s work, its amazing how she interpenetrates sound. I wont go too much into how i feel about her work as i’ll save that for my essay and if you guys are interested you can read it for yourself!
Sorry its not a link with a thumb nail but it will take you straight to the video, it’s a seriously good watch.
As i previously blogged, i’ve been asked to do a case study on Christine Sun Kim for my Sonic Arts lecture. I had never heard of her as an artist before, but as i look a little more into her theory’s and work i am become more and more impressed with her work. here’s a short video i found with an example of her work and a brief explanation of why she creates the are she does, enjoy…
I have been asked to write an essay for my constellation class, we were given a choice of three questions to answer, I chose to do a case study on Christine Sun Kim. truthfully, the other questions and artists bored me, but Christine instantly caught my attention. Christine is a New York based performance artist, but what surprised me the most about her is she was born deaf.
I haven’t done too much research into my case study yet, but thought i would share the video that introduced me to Christine Sun Kim, its very enlightening and shows a little about what her work is about.
